Three for Thursday... Wardrobe Inspiration, Displaying Portrait Sets, & High School Seniors
Charlotte Russe colorblock shoes
$25 - charlotterusse.com
ASOS hair clip accessory
$14 - asos.com
Next up, I wanted to share a little home inspiration for displaying your print sets. I love photo groupings with a little plaque, or block, or framed word(s). It's a heartwarming way to display your portraits as a set.
What are some fun/creative/beautiful ways that you display sets of prints or canvases in your home? Do share!
Lastly, I want to encourage those HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS out there who are still wanting a personally-styled photo shoot for your senior pictures...get your session booked! You want something unique...something that reflects who you really are...a photo shoot devoted completely to you, at locations that are fabulous and stunning. Senior shoots are so much fun!!
Check out my website - http://www.vignettesphotography.com/ - for more details on what a senior photo session entails, and feel free to browse the high school seniors online gallery for examples of my work - http://www.vignettesphotography.com/p823537117.
Wishing you all a lovely Thursday, and a wonderful weekend!

2011 Fall Wardrobe Inspiration - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location children's photographer
Welcome to the 2011 Fall Fashion Feature! As the Fall/Holiday Sessions kick-off next month, I wanted to give you some ideas for planning your wardrobe.
The three key tips to remember are: layers, texture, accessories.
You can either incorporate all three (as little Taryn above pulls off so beautifully!), or you can focus on just one or two. The images in all four posts of this feature will give you some visuals of wardrobe inspiration, from the three basic tips (layers, texture, accessories), to some color trends, style trends, and unique designers. I will highlight the fashions/styles that are featured in the photos by listing them in bold above each photo, with explanations following.
(Note that all the wardrobes featured in this post were pulled together from what existed in the models' own closets, with the exception of the headbands from Adam's Blankie, which I ordered for this fashion shoot specifically.)
I hope this gets your wheels turning for how to turn what is in your closet into a fashionable wardrobe that suits your personalized photo session with Vignettes Photography!
Layering, color, fun shoes.
An easy way to layer is to incorporate tights or leggings and a sweater. You can pair tights/leggings with a dress (like Isabella, above), a skirt, or a tunic/long shirt (like Taryn, top).
Texture, accessories (headbands!) - headband from Adam's Blankie on Etsy (all kinds of sizes/styles available).
I love this headband with the tulle and fabric rose, and the feather. Great addition of texture!
Texture (pettiskirts!), color.
Pettiskirts are so much fun for little girls! They offer so much texture, and give girls something to do during the shoot (twirl, play ring around the rosie, curtsie), which makes for cute, laughter-filled photos.
Layering, hats, boots, color.
Layering with tights, a skirt, a top, and a jacket (below). Although the colors don't neccessarily completely match (lavender, mauve, beige, light pink, bright pink), they come together cohesively for the overall look.
Texture, accessories.
Headband from Adam's Blankie. The embroidery and ruffle detail on the shirt add great texture.

2011 Fall Wardrobe Inspiration, Part 2 - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location senior and couple's photographer
This is part two of my Fall Wardrobe Inspiration.
Layers, color, customized t-shirt (from Finley and Oliver).
This customized t-shirt is from the super-adorable Finley and Oliver. You may choose the design you want, on the t-shirt color of your choice, or you may send in any word you like (such as a name) to be created on a t-shirt (see their website for details).
Layering a button-down (with the sleeves rolled up, especially) makes a t-shirt go from looking OK to pulled-together. Then add some fun shoes to the mix!
Color, fun shoes.
Belts, boots, coordinating color.
Love how these two coordinate without looking "matchy-matchy".
Mixed-print, boots.
Mixed-print dresses and tops are everywhere. Pair with cute ankle boots and some fun jewelry (accessories!) and you're right in line with the current fall fashion.
Belts, scarves.
Scarves are an easy way to layer, and the belt adds interest to this neutral top.
Texture, color.
Sweaters are a no-brainer for adding texture to your wardrobe!
Layering, belts, coordinating colors.
Again, you don't have to wear the exact same color to coordinate more than one person in a photo shoot! Look for colors that compliment each other, like the plum, heathered medium gray, and dark brown that Amber and Luke are wearing. Love the belt and bracelet (accessories!), too.
