Summer Bookings and A Champ of a Sister! - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location photographer for children and teens

This post contains some proud big sister bragging on my part, so be forewarned. =) (Here's a peek...more photos below.)

I am opening up summer bookings for the months of June through August! July is already full, and I have one more slot for June, and three more slots for August at this time. AND, I wanted to brag on my little sister a bit. Last week at the Pima County Fair she won Grand Champion Junior Showman for dog, and Reserve Champion Junior Showman for dairy cow with 4-H! She got to show in the Small Stock Round Robin with her dog, competing against each of the grand champions in the other categories and showing all of the small stock animals (cavy, rabbit, pigeon, poultry, and pygmy goat). There she won Reserve Champion Junior Showman! I am so incredibly proud of her.

Congratulations, Miss E.! I love you and am so proud of the poise, knowledge, and skill you showed in the ring that night. All that hard work you've done all year has paid off. Way to go!!

Miss L., Tucson Senior Sneak Peek - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location high school senior photographer

I came home from this senior's session feeling like I'd just spent a peaceful evening enjoying beautiful Tucson, Arizona. We went to some awesome locations for Miss L.'s session - serene, gorgeous, and with a slight breeze. Add to that the enjoyable hanging out and chit-chatting that Miss L. and I did during her session, and that is a pretty great way to spend an evening!

This girl has an amazing gift for caring for others, and I think it totally shines through in her laugh.

Miss L. is one of my boys' Sunday school teachers, and one of the youth in our youth group at church, so she holds a very special place in my heart. =) Thanks for the joy of your company the other night, Miss L.! And congratulations on this awesome accomplishment! I know you will be successful in your studies in college, and I cannot wait to see how many lives you continue to influence.

Spring Family Photo Session Sneak Peek - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location family photographer

Introducing you to my favorite photo of the moment: I know. Pure cuteness. This little man and his baby sister are stinkin' adorable, are they not? I had the fun of photographing the F. Family for some spring family photos recently, and although Mr. 2-year-old was on the go throughout the session, we got some absolutely adorable shots.

And mom and dad catching a quick cuddle shot once we got the kiddos into their car seats! (Sometimes we have to get creative to get shots when there are little ones involved!) I love mom's laugh here. Adorable.

It was great meeting you, F. Family! So glad we got to do a family session while your little ones are still...little! Let this be a lesson to everyone out there with kiddos - don't delay getting family photos when you have little munchkins! They grow and change so quickly, and you will love having some portraits of this time of life to smile about. =)

Easter Baby Sneak Peek - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location baby photographer

I love this buh-bie and her mom. Mom is a sweet friend of mine, and I have had the joy of photographing this little munchin and her big sister since they were each newborns. We did a little springtime session with flowers, grass, ruffles, pearls, and an Easter basket. My job doesn't get much better than this....

(sigh)...I do love spring. =) Happy Easter, everyone! Enjoy this Easter Sunday with your family and loved ones!

D. Family Sneak Peek - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location family photographer

Meet the D. Family! The lovely lady in front has been a dear friend of mine for many years, and was actually a bridesmaid in my wedding! This is her with her hubby and his family, who were visiting from out of town. We had to do a last-minute rescheduling of their session because of the random rain and snow that we got on our planned shoot day. The next day the rain had cleared out, but it was still chilly...which I loved, because then the girls got to wear sweaters! (I love the layered look for photo shoots...it's so flattering and pulls the colors together.)

Mr. M. Senior Sneak Peek - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location senior photographer

Congratulations to Mr. M. - a handsome senior that I had the privelege of photographing recently. This dude has an awesome smile, and I really loved the jacket he threw on at the end. We had beautiful sunlight for his session, which gave such feeling to this photo (my personal fave of his sneak peek).... Doesn't he have a great smile?

"Brothers" Photo - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location children's photographer

I love the Pioneer Woman. My idea of a wonderfully relaxing, enjoyable morning would be browsing the Pioneer Woman's blog with a cup of coffee. One of the fun things she does is hold photo contests of a certain theme every so often. The photo submissions cover just about every style and taste that's out there! There are snapshots, professional photos, old photos that have been scanned in, and digitally enhanced photos. Anyone can enter, and the finalists and winners are the photos that the Pioneer Woman just loves...no professional requirement at all. Thousands and thousands of photos are entered every single day for her contests, so you can image my shock and excitement when I got an email this morning from another entrant congratulating me on my photo being chosen and featured on her blog! Miss B., Downtown Senior Sneak Peek - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location photographer

Meet Miss B., a beautiful senior with a killer smile. We had such a fun session downtown! We even got invited into this store for some photos (we got an awesome one with a jukebox...can't wait to share it with you!). Gorgeous girl.

Adios! - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location family photographer

Ok. Confession. I do not know if "Adios" is how you would say goodbye in Spain. But I'm goin' with it for this post. =) This incredible family is heading out next week to be missionaries in Spain. We squeezed in a family photo session, and here is a peek at what we've got so far....
