Still Here - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's photographer for kids and families

Hi, all! I wanted to drop in and let you all know that I AM still here, in spite of my lying low as of late. My boys and I have been passing around some sickie bugs for the past two weeks, and we are currently on illness #2. The good news is that my hubby has gotten by unscathed so far. The bad news is, it's May, and it's warm and sunny and beautiful outside, and this is the month of non-stop family celebrations in my family, and I want to get out of this ol' house and be outdoors!

(Speaking of, congratulations to my niece, Miss M., on her kindergarten graduation tonight, and my brother on his graduation today, and my niece Miss K., who turns 7 today, and my niece Miss M. (different one) who turns 9 today, and both of my sisters on their birthdays this week, and my grandma on her birthday this week, and my hubby on his birthday next week, and my niece Miss K. (different one) on her birthday next week, and my cousin and two sisters-in-law on their birthdays later this month! I love ya' all!)

In spite of the sickies, here is a cute (unedited) pic of my baby from the other day, when I was playing around with some new settings on my camera just for fun. I love that big grin. =)

I'll check back in in the near future, when my voice returns and I am out enjoying this gorgeous spring!

Things I {Heart}, Spring 2011 - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's children and family photographer

Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely moms. I hope you got to celebrate the joy of motherhood with your families yesterday.

In celebration of Mother's Day, I would like to share some of the things I {HEART} this spring! Things that make me happy. Things that are precious to me, or brighten my day when I look at them.

First up are these new embroidered pillowcases from my grandma. I love how unique they are, and how completely adorable they are!

My new basket. I cannot WAIT to use this for a newborn session! (Can't you just picture it - a little bundle of love all wrapped up in a cozy blanket in here?!)

My oh-s0-pretty painted jar, in the color I love, with a beautiful embossing on the front. My sister-in-law, Jen, got this for me for Christmas and it is SO my style. I love the vintage-y romance of it.(Thanks, Jen!)

This custom-matted and framed picture of a little boy and his puppy, climbing the stairs for bed, with jammies buttoned up at the bum. It is darling and makes me appreciate the sweetness of childhood with my own two boys when I look at it. It hangs in my baby's room, and was a gift from my mom when my eldest was born.

Shorts jammies on my boys! Last night was the first night they've both worn shorts jammies to bed, which means it is warm outside and summer is on its way! (I also heart those two adorable faces. =))

The chocolate-covered strawberries that my hubby and oldest son made me for Mother's Day. My son was in charge of the drizzling with a fork...pre-tty impressive!

The gorgeous roses and handmade cards from my boys for Mother's Day. They carried these in to me in the morning with big smiles on their faces, which is the best gift of all. =)

I also wanted to share a few snapshots of our Easter from a few weeks back, which I have been meaning to get up but have not had the time. (My goodness this has been a crazy spring!)

So - Happy Easter! Happy Mother's Day! And I hope you enjoyed looking at some of the things that make me happy everyday!

More sneak peeks are soon-to-come, and, just FYI, June and July are both full, but I am still taking a couple more August sessions.

This session was a dream. Newborn sweetness, white frilly dresses, ribbons and bows, sister love.... I was in heaven.
