Beautiful Baby - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's on-location newborn photographer

Meet Miss P., the one-week-old bundle of love I got to photograph this week. Can you believe that hair?! It is gorgeous.

Mom and dad did not find out whether they were going to have a boy or a girl before Miss P. arrived, so it was a surprise right up until the end. (They're crazy like that. =)

I do believe this is one of the sweetest looks of all time. I love the foot hanging off the edge.

Miss P.'s mom and dad are dear friends of mine. In fact, I have photographed them while they were expecting Miss P.'s big sister, then I photographed big sister when she was a newborn, and I have had the joy of photographing their family many times since. They are a warm, generous, loving family, and I think that always shines through in their portraits.

Big sister let us set up the photo session in her room (since there was great morning light coming through her window), but I really wanted to get a few of sis on her bed. Her bedding was so dainty and girly...I loved it!

And one more adorable shot for your enjoyment. =) I'm pretty sure this girl's a model in the making....

Congratulations to Miss P.'s family! I love you all dearly and I am so excited to get to watch this newest addition grow into a young lady. =)

Mom is 35 1/2 weeks along - the perfect time for a maternity session! I recommend booking your maternity session for sometime between your 32nd and 37th week of pregnancy (unless you're like me and have a hard time making it past 30 weeks at all!). This way you're able to really show off and appreciate that beautiful belly, but you're not so close to the end that you're miserable and can barely move. =)

We came back to my house for some photos with the backdrop and got some great close-ups of mom's baby bump, and her fabulous smile!

And Baby Makes Three - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's On-Location Family Photographer

I got to meet a really sweet family last weekend.
Mom, dad, and baby gave me some beautiful shots. As I've been working on editing their photos, I keep thinking, "You can just see the love this family has!"

I love that photo above. I love that mom and dad look completely casual and relaxed while they're smoochin', and I love the warm color the sunshine brings to the photo.

You know I'm a sucker for kissing photos, and although I know you've seen several on this blog, this one is too cute to not share. Mom and dad gave baby a kiss without me even asking them to! =) And would you look at those cute baby toes in the foreground?! Adorable.

This little guy has ridiculously bright blue eyes, and I love that the lighting and colors in this photo really bring them out.

(By the way, a seperate post with more pictures of this awesome tub is soon-to-come!)

Sessions with older babies and toddlers can be tricky. The session will go for as long as the toddler allows, and that can be hugely influenced by parents' attitudes coming into (and during) the photo shoot. These parents were fabulous at keeping a happy, laid-back attitude throughout the morning, not giving their little guy any reason to fret. They just smiled and laughed and tickled him to keep those sweet shots coming. Way to go, mom and dad! =)

Collages! - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's On-Location Portrait Photographer

I wanted to share these two collages I just designed.

I love the look of the faded photo taking up the entire background of this 14x11" collage -

And this one is a 20x10" collage. I have been loving these oblong prints for the past several months...they are just so different from what you usually see hanging in people's houses.

Collages are such a great way to showcase several of your favorite photos from a session, and they can also be a great way to give a title to your photos.

Curls - Vignettes Photography, Tucson's On-Location Children's Photographer

Meet Little Miss Curls, the sweet almost-2-year-old that I had the pleasure of photographing over the weekend.
Ohhhh, those curls were adorable! The morning was cloudy and breezy, with monsoon weather still lingering, but the lighting worked out spectacularly for our photo shoot. I love this little spot in my neighborhood. I have a couple more photo shoots coming up in this area, and I know we will get beautiful shots every time. (I especially love the white picket fence!)

We came back to my place for some backdrop shots, and although Miss Curls had just about had enough of this whole photographing business, we still got some stunning shots of her here. I love how the color and pattern of her dress really pops out against the white backdrop. This is a great example of using color for individual portraits!

I have so many more beautiful images to share, but these were the first few I got done and I just had to post them for your viewing pleasure. =)

As the school year is starting and you begin to look ahead to your Fall plans, remember to book your Fall/Holiday sessions early! October and November are my busiest months, and I am limiting the number of bookings I take. I will be doing a Fall mini-session day (just one), so stay tuned for more details on that!

These two nieces of mine are sweet and sassy. This one is sweet -

Actually, wait, it's the other way around.

Actually, it depends on the day. Or the hour. Or the minute.

Alright. They're both a little sweet and a little sassy. =)

What's great about these two photos is that I didn't tell them how to pose or what to do. Both of those were completely spontaneous looks. Gotta' love those girls....
